I've finally got Black Line on physical copy and this record actually blew my mind. There's so much beauty to this album but also its so crushingly heavy and extreme in an audio sense, Respire don't hold back they just let everything go and beyond, amazing!!

There's nothing quite like this. Veering from catastrophically heavy doom to terrifying experimental sci-fi black metal, this gets better with every listen. Absolutely on another planet.

I was tipped off to this project by the ever cool beans @reposerecords because I was looking for suggestions in the somewhat esoteric request of music which *wasn't* "blackened hardcore" – which tends to lean on the dumber chuddier end of the latter genre, but *was* "black metal by people who are or were hardcore kids", as that seems to me an ideal combination of righteous anger *and* very unlikely to be stupid little crybaby nationalists. I think we're on to a winner.
